Soundspace at the Blanton presents Copies & Covers feat. Convergence

Convergence’s Brent Baldwin and Cameron Beauchamp present the premiere of Baldwin’t L’homme Armageddon for voices and electronics. Other artists offering up covers and reinventions include Riders Against the Storm, p1nkstar, Frank Wo/Men Collective, the Transitory Sound and Movement Collective, DJ Shani, Sabine Gruffat and Bill Brown, Tetractys, and the UTSA Trombone Choir.

The Voice’s Nakia, Panoramic Voices, and dancers Hassan Christopher & Alexa Capareda premiere Brent’s new work, …the least of these… in this Soundspace installation focusing on the plight of refugees.

Additional composers and performers include ARCOS Dance, Roberto Paolo Riggio, Basim Lami, Bereket, The University of Texas Middle Eastern Ensemble, Zell Miller III, Michael Anthony Garcia, Henna Chou, and Sheffield/Rippie.
