Brent Baldwin hosts a live broadcast with Natalie Joy and Joseph Choi which will feature music their January 2020 house concert, and discussions about music-making during COVID. The broadcast will be viewable free of charge on the Panoramic Voices YouTube channel, with a direct link to the broadcast available a few minutes before the concert start time.

Brent Baldwin presents his original arrangements of holiday oddities in collaboration with Invincible Czars, Liz Cass, Taylor Muse (Quiet Company), Carrie Fussell (Calliope Musicals), Austin Soundwaves, and Panoramic Voices.

Brent conducts the orchestra and chorus of Panoramic Voices in George Walker’s Lyric for Strings, Arvo Pärt’s enigmatic Berliner Messe, the world-premiere performance of Brought into Morning by Australian composer Kitty Xiao, and Gabriel Fauré’s timeless Requiem.

Featured soloists include Natalie Joy (soprano) and multi Grammy Award-winners Cameron Beauchamp (bass) and Robert Harlan (bass).

The concert also features a student performance by Kids in a New Groove, to which a portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated.

Brent conducts the world-premiere performances of mythos by Mack Nixon-Hoxie and A Room and A Field by Eric McMaster.

Celebrating its 10th year under Brent’s artistic directorship, the orchestra and chorus of Panoramic Voices present works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Aaron Copland, and Dana Falconberry, as well as a performance of Baldwin’s composition Song Without Words.

Baldwin directs Panoramic Voices in the premiere of his composition Active Actuality for party-line cell phones and electronics. Other featured artists include Ensemble Pamplemousse, Henna Chou, Monte Espina, and more.

KUTX icon John Aielli hosts Brent Baldwin as he leads the Invincible Czars, Panoramic Voices and special guests Leslie Sisson (Moving Panoramas) and Nakia through a number of his punk rock holiday arrangements on-air.

Brent curates to the Blanton’s “Dancing with Death” exhibit, bringing together two of his projects — The Normans & Panoramic Voices — to present his twisted arrangements of music by Bauhaus & Love and Rockets.

KMFA broadcasts the February 2017 world-premiere of Strange in Other Ways. This program will also feature an interview with SIOW composer Travis Weller and director Brent Baldwin.

Brent conducts the world-premiere performance of Travis Weller’s 40-minute epic composition, Strange in Other Ways. SiOW features the instrumentalists of New Music Co-op, percussion ensemble Line Upon Line, and the singers of Panoramic Voices, along with the poetry of Dorothy Meiburg.

Brent leads the chamber ensemble of Panoramic Voices in a performance for Texans for the Arts.

In his capacity as Blanton’s music curator, Brent returns with the Invincible Czars, Panoramic Voices, and other surprise guests to deliver another standing-room-only punk rock holiday concert in the museum’s atrium.

Starting off the evening is Conspirare’s Craig Hella Johnson in a fun Big Sing event.

Brent conducts an encore performance of 2014’s award-winning Mozart Requiem Undead. Featuring more than 200 musicians, MRU features commissioned reworked movements of Mozart’s masterpiece by Glenn Kotche, Pulitzer Prize winner Caroline Shaw, Graham Reynolds, Peter Stopschinski, Adrian Quesada (Grupo Fantasma), DJ Spooky, Petra Haden, Justin Sherburn and Kate Moore.

Brent also conducts Roomful of Teeth and Panoramic Voices in the world premiere of Tired Tropes for Battered Souls by Caleb Burhans. Concert includes an opening full set by the critically acclaimed and Grammy Award-winning Roomful of Teeth.
